A non-vote is a vote, it just can't be measured easily.
Some reasons for not voting:
Can't be bothered.
They don't like the system of voting, therefore they don't.
They have no faith in any of the candidates (difficult to have faith in people you don't know).
Now if there was a get rid of the CSMs on the list of options, I'm sure you would see more votes. |

That just shows that the system is failing even more than I had previously thought.
Not related to Andski's answer but I'll add this as a general comment on the subject.
The reason a lot of people don't vote,is that they have no faith in the voting system or its candidates. So they can't vote for anyone anyway, casting a vote would be also a vote for the system of voting.
Or plainly put, using the system adds credibility to it.

Literally anyone can run. You don't like it, make some ripples and change it yourself.
Anyone can run, but why would I wish to be a CSM when my first course of action would be to disband the CSM? |
